I've documented asylum-seekers' fears in one of Mexico's most dangerous border towns and reported extensively on criminal justice and policing in America, including the case of Anton Black, an unarmed Black 19-year-old who died in police custody in 2018.
In 2022, my teammates and I were nominated for a National Emmy in the Outstanding Crime and Justice Category for “The Investigation,” a one-hour “Justice for All” Dateline NBC story examining the wrongful conviction of Walter Ogrod, who was exonerated and released from prison after spending 23 years on death row.
